Hi, I'm Jonathan Ellis.

I'm a designer, husband, and father in Auckland, New Zealand.

I have many years experience helping large organisations, SMEs, and charities create and build engaging and effective products. I like working on design problems from beginning to end, and with experience as both a designer and a developer, I am as comfortable drawing wireframes and creating prototypes as I am designing and developing interfaces. One of my greatest passions in life is to always be learning and experimenting, whether it’s through reading books or taking courses related to my professional interests. This allows me to stay current with the latest tools and processes in the constantly evolving digital product space.

My creative journey began when I started freelancing as a graphic and web designer upon finishing university in 2009. Shortly after, I moved to Cambodia for a few years to work with a charity, where I helped develop new websites and systems for the organisation and led the marketing efforts to attract volunteers and donors.

Upon returning to New Zealand in 2016, I have worked with many companies to design and develop digital products. I am currently a Senior User Experience Designer at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare.
